On Demand: Famous Folks on PBS

We’ve watched some of our favorite actors and actresses walk the red carpet. But did you know that some of these stars got their start on PBS or have come to star in PBS shows after their big breaks? Here are some of the roles they’ve brought to life on your TV screens that you can watch with Iowa PBS Passport

Hannah Waddingham

You probably know Hannah Waddingham from her Emmy winning role as Rebecca Welton in Ted Lasso. She had a small role on Midsomer Murders, but more recently she snagged a leading role on the limited series Tom Jones, which you can watch on the PBS App with Iowa PBS Passport.

 

 

Theo James

Theo James shot to stardom when he landed a lead role in the Divergent film series and has gone on to also start in the popular series White Lotus. In PBS land he has had a role on Downton Abbey playing the short-lived Mr. Kemal Pamuk. Most recently he has starred in Sanditon (Season 1) as Sidney Parker, which you can watch on the PBS App with Iowa PBS Passport.

 

 

Matthew Lewis

Matthew Lewis stole all of our hearts as the clumsy, loveable Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter film series. Fans watched as he grew up before their eyes. He joined the PBS family by starring in 8 episodes of All Creatures Great and Small playing Hugh Hulton. Catch up on all seasons before season 4 drops in January! 

 

 

Sean Bean

Sean Bean has starred in the film trilogy, The Lord of the Rings and as the honorable Ned Stark in Game of Thrones. Sean has returned to PBS starring in the gripping WWII drama, World on Fire.
