Facing Suicide Screening and Discussion

 A hopeful, forward-facing initiative designed to educate and inform Iowans on the warning signs of suicide, as well as discuss the many different ways to create safe spaces for the young people in our lives to be open about their mental health.

As part of a national effort to draw attention to the nation's growing rates of suicide, this event featured the premiere of a new 30-minute documentary from Iowa PBS, Facing Suicide in Iowa, as well as a discussion with educators, caregivers, and experts. Attendees were able to ask questions anonymously live and online during the panel discussion.
