Iowa PBS over-the-air viewers in the Keokuk need to rescan their TVs
Iowa PBS has changed its broadcast channel serving the Keokuk viewing area. This necessary change moved Iowa PBS’s broadcast signal from its previous broadcast channel to its new legal ID, K18NZ-D. Keokuk area viewers experienced a temporary service outage while equipment is updated to the new frequency. The work concluded the afternoon of Thursday, August 15.
Viewers will still find Iowa PBS’s over-the-air programming via the network’s Iowa City translator KIIN Channel 12. Now that the change is complete, viewers watching the over-the-air translator signal will need to rescan their televisions to receive the new channel. Viewers watching Iowa PBS via a cable or satellite provider do not need to make any adjustments.
In addition to its statewide broadcast, Iowa PBS .1 is available to livestream on iowapbs.org/watch, pbs.org/livestream, the PBS app, Local Now, YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV. Iowa PBS programs, behind-the-scenes extras and more can be enjoyed on iowapbs.org, Facebook and YouTube. Viewers can also stream their favorite shows on demand using the PBS app, available on iOS, Android and many streaming devices.
