Iowa PBS presents season 2 of Studio 3 LIVE

A new lineup of local, regional and national artists will take the Studio 3 LIVE stage to perform original sets and share their musical journeys when season 2 of the series premieres Friday, October 25 at 8:30 p.m. 

“The genres and artists featured on season 2 of Studio 3 LIVE are so varied and fun,” said Iowa PBS Senior Producer and Director Andrea Coyle. “Performing on the stage this season are two different international bands, a throw-back act, a Nashville up-and-comer, and a legend from Chicago just to name a few. Prepare to be entertained!”

Performances and interviews for each episode are recorded at the Iowa PBS studios in Johnston with a live audience. Featured artists and bands include Halle Kearns, The Nadas, John Primer & the Real Deal Blues Band, Kiss the Tiger, Lily DeTaeye, Wheatus, Neil Anders & the Brothers Merritt, The Texas Tenors, The Foxies, Wesli, Davina and the Vagabonds, and Henry Wagons. A special episode, Studio 3 LIVE: Best of Season 2 will air in February. 

Episodes will premiere weekly Fridays at 8:30 p.m. on Iowa PBS and the PBS app. Hosted by Mickey Davis, each episode features interview segments woven throughout the program to learn about each performer, their creative process and what drives them to make their music.
