Iowa PBS fans have been asking for more ways to stream their favorite shows, and now they can! The national schedules on Iowa PBS’s subchannels Create and WORLD are now livestreaming on iowapbs.org/live, pbs.org/livestream, and the PBS app.

Iowa PBS’s simultaneous broadcast streaming service brings viewers more ways to watch engaging and inspiring content regardless of antenna, cable or satellite connection. Livestreaming Iowa PBS’s lineup does not require a PBS membership and is available to those streaming within the state of Iowa.

“Iowa PBS is excited to further expand our digital streaming service to Iowans,” said Iowa PBS Executive Director and General Manager Andrew Batt. “These live streaming channels focused on history and culture will further educate, inform, enrich and inspire all Iowans, no matter how they prefer to watch.”

Livestreaming appeals to those viewers wanting a true channel experience and cord-cutters who are looking for another way to enjoy the great content they love from PBS. Increasingly, viewers are wanting the “block experience” where they can begin watching one program that flows into another similar-themed type of content making for a more seamless and educated viewing experience.
