Iowa PBS has announced that its primary channel is now livestreaming on iowapbs.org/watch, pbs.org/livestream and the PBS Video App on Roku.
Iowa PBS’s simultaneous broadcast streaming service brings viewers more ways to watch engaging and inspiring content regardless of antenna, cable or satellite connection. Livestreaming Iowa PBS’s lineup does not require a PBS membership and is available to those streaming within the state of Iowa.
“We are so excited to even further expand our service to Iowans,” said Iowa PBS Executive Director and General Manager Molly Phillips. “We hope that by adding livestreaming options, we are better able to educate, inform, enrich and inspire all Iowans, no matter how they prefer to watch.”
Iowa PBS’s launch of local livestreaming includes content from locally produced shows like Iowa Press and Iowa Ingredient as well as engaging and acclaimed PBS favorites. Interested viewers can visit iowapbs.org and begin to enjoy programs through reliable, high-quality and easy-to-navigate streaming. Livestreaming appeals to those viewers wanting a true channel experience and cord-cutters who are looking for another way to enjoy the great content they love from PBS. Increasingly, viewers are wanting the “block experience” where they can begin watching one program that flows into another similar-themed type of content making for a more seamless and educated viewing experience.
In addition to its livestreaming on iowapbs.org/watch, pbs.org/livestream, the PBS Video App for Roku and YouTube TV, Iowa PBS is available via statewide broadcast.
