Health, economic and legal concerns on the next Iowa Press Special: Coronavirus
On the next Iowa Press Special: Coronavirus, a panel of experts will participate in a live discussion of the unemployment, legal and health impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, and take viewer questions.
This one-hour special program will be broadcast live on Friday, April 3 at 7:30 p.m. and repeat Sunday, April 5 at 11:30 a.m. on Iowa PBS. Iowa Press Special: Coronavirus will be livestreamed on iowapbs.org, YouTube and Facebook.
The panel will include Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller, Iowa Workforce Development Director Beth Townsend and Dr. Rossana Rosa, infectious disease specialist at UnityPoint Health. Joining moderator David Yepsen at the Iowa Press table will be Erin Murphy, Des Moines bureau chief for Lee Enterprises.
During this expanded Iowa Press, viewers may submit questions online, via email and over the phone for reporters to share with the panel. Viewers experiencing their own adverse medical symptoms will be encouraged to call 2-1-1 or reach out to their individual medical providers.
