Mark your calendar for these highlights:
Tuesday, November 26
Mark your calendar for the premiere of Historic Buildings of Iowa: Council Bluffs at 7 p.m. The series Historic Buildings of Iowa journeys west to ride the rails to Council Bluffs, where historic buildings and landmarks tell the tale of the innovators and explorers who would come to define this gateway to the American West.
And, you can experience all the buildings featured in the program by donating and choosing a day tour of Council Bluffs as your thank-you gift.
Saturday, November 30
Get in the holiday spirit early with a festive kitchen adventure! Starting at 9 a.m., you’ll learn great tips for making impressive culinary creations – all morning long. And to top it all off, America’s Test Kitchen shares wonderful tips from 25 years as your trusted kitchen adviser. Make sure to donate and ask for the America’s Test Kitchen anniversary cookbook, which showcases 500 best-of-the-best recipes and techniques from their first 25 years.
Music, Music, Music…
Invite your family and friends over for a house party of wonderful music. Tune in at 5 p.m. for Big Band Years, followed by the 60s and 70s Soul Celebration. Cap off the evening with a thrilling concert by the band Chicago. You can find thank-you gifts connected to each of these programs online.

Settle in for an evening of music and some of your favorite dramas. At 5:30 p.m., Iowa PBS broadcasts Whitney Houston: The Concert for a New South Africa, which celebrates the 30th anniversary of Whitney Houston’s historic South Africa concert in 1994.
