Humans Cross the Bering Land Bridge
Approximately 12,000 years ago nomadic hunters followed animals across the Bering Land Bridge.
Transcript
Following the herds of animals were groups of nomadic hunters. Neither these hunters nor animals knew they were crossing onto another continent. They were merely going where their food source was more plentiful. For thousands of years after these people arrived in North America, they spread out across the continent. And by 12,000 years ago, some of them reached Iowa.
