Sioux City Railroad Museum

Set in a former rail yard that's been converted into an interactive experience, the Sioux City Railroad Museum offers visitors a chance to explore the history of Iowa's rail system.

• The Sioux City Railroad Museum was a former train repair depot for the Milwaukee Road.
• The 32-acre site is now a museum showcasing and celebrating the history railroads played in the Siouxland area. 
• At one point Iowa was the fourth largest state in terms of railroad track. 
• The storytellers project is a way to allow local actors to bring stories of the railroads to life.
