The hazelnut may not be the first nut you think of when it comes to eating or cooking. yet it's consumed all over the world and can take you on culinary journeys reserved for few other ingredients. On this Iowa Ingredient join host Charity Nebbe to learn what’s hidden inside the hazelnut. We’ll examine its part in Iowa agriculture by visiting Hazel Acres outside of Fenton. Then we’ll check out Restauration inside the Hotel Winneshiek in Decorah before inviting executive chef Tom Skold to our studio kitchen to teach us how to include hazelnuts in some tasty dishes.
