1969 Puzzle Sandwiches
Ingredients
3 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
4 -5 slices crisp cooked bacon, crumbled
1 loaf each of white and whole wheat sandwich bread, frozen
Directions
Blend cream cheese, milk, Worcestershire and bacon to form a spread.
Cut bread slices into 2-inch rounds with a cookie cutter. Spread half of the rounds with the cheese mixture. Cut the remaining rounds into Double Rounds, Stripes and Checkerboards.
For the Double Rounds, use a small cookie cutter to cut a tiny circle from the center of rounds. Fit the tiny whole wheat circles in the holes of the white ones and vice versa.
For Stripes, use the 2-inch cookie cutter to cut a football-shaped slice off the sides of the rounds. Alternate white and whole wheat.
For Checkerboards, Cut rounds into fourths and make checkerboards of white and whole wheat.
