Hemingway Daiquiri
Ernest Hemingway fell in love with the daiquiri during his visits to Cuba in the 1920s. Also known as the Hemingway Special, his version is made with a lot less sugar and a little more booze than a traditional daiquiri.
Ingredients
2 oz. light rum
3/4 oz. fresh lime juice
1/2 oz. fresh grapefruit juice
1/2 oz. maraschino liqueur
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Add ice, and shake vigorously for 10 seconds. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass, and garnish with a lime wheel. You can also prepare this cocktail frozen by adding all the ingredients to a blenderand blending with ice.
