Dean and Sheila Borg's Chocolate Nut Revels

Ingredients

1 cup butter
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 cups sifted flour
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions

Cream together butter, sugar, salt and vanilla/ Blend in the 2 cups of flour gradually. On low heat in a saucepan melt chocolate chips. Stir in chopped pecans.Add chocolate nut mixture to the creamed mixtures. Stir with fork just enough to blend.

Roll dough into 1 inch balls and place on parchment-lined cookie sheet. Flatten ball to 1/4 inch thickness with bottom of glass butted and dipped in sugar.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Let cool for 2-3 minutes on cookie sheet before removing to cooling rack.
