Beef Tenderloin with Sesame-Ginger Chili Sauce

Ingredients

1 red onion; top removed; quartered
2 oz toasted sesame oil
1 whole beef tenderloin or preferred steak sizes
2 oz toasted sesame oil
3 garlic cloves; minced
1/2 tablespoon black sesame seeds
1/2 tablespoon white sesame seeds
salt
ground black pepper
1 tablespoon minced ginger root
1/2 cup of sweet chili sauce
1 cup prepared rice noodles
1/4 cup minced cilantro

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine quartered onion, sesame oil, and salt and pepper in a bowl and mix. Transfer to a aluminum foil sheet and fold into a pouch. Cook in a 350 degree oven 20-25 minutes.

Pre heat grill pan on medium-high heat. Remove fat and excess from tenderloin. Heavily rub tenderloin with the garlic cloves. Coat with the toasted sesame oil, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and season with salt and pepper. Cook tenderloin to preferred doneness, approx 3-4 minutes on each side. Allow to rest for before cutting.

Combine ginger, garlic, sweet chili sauce and rice noodles in a bowl. Garnish with minced cilantro, sesame seeds, and sesame oil. Slice tenderloin.

Plate rice noodles on platter, and add cooked onion petals. Arrange Beef Tenderloin Slices over noodles and onions and drizzle ginger/chili sauce over tenderloin. Garnish with minced cilantro, toasted sesame oil, and sesame seeds.
