Iowa Science Phenomena Outdoor Adventure
Iowa Science Phenomena from Iowa PBS offers a growing collection of local standards-aligned phenomena, unique and relevant to the students and teachers of Iowa. You are invited to contribute to this collection by joining this one-day outdoor event.
On May 17 from 9:30 a.m. - 1 p.m., Iowa PBS and Jackson County Conservation will host an outdoor adventure with a guided tour of the remnant Codfish Hollow Prairie. Bring along your camera or phone as our tour will begin at the Hurstville Interpretive Center. Valuable tips and tricks to help improve your own amateur nature photography skills will be shared. We will then caravan to explore the exciting native prairie at Codfish Hollow. You are invited to share the images you capture from this event for use in our Iowa Science Phenomena collection. Don’t miss your chance to connect with nature and explore this unique feature right in Jackson County.
This experience is for all ages and is family-friendly. Registration is not required. Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather and the environment (e.g. hat, long pants, sunscreen, etc).
